Important Information

Firstly, I hope you are well and staying safe!

I’m emailing you due to the exceptional circumstances in which we all find ourselves here in the UK and in the hope that I can offer you some clarity and reassurance with regards to your wedding cake and my services. 

Currently I am operating as usual; creating and providing cakes and keeping fully to health regulations. I am also avoiding unnecessary gatherings and wedding shows to minimise any risks in order to preserve my business and support all my clients.

So as it stands, I'm very much looking forward to being your wedding cake creator for your upcoming wedding and most special of days! 

I'm also aware of the ever changing situations that you are potentially  facing, and therefore if you need to reschedule your wedding day through your personal choice, your venue's choice , or the government’s, then I would be pleased to reschedule your wedding cake to a future date free of charge. 

This is, of course, subject to the date requested not being already booked. All I ask is that you contact me to check that I can cover the new date before locking the proposed date in with your venue. If you do not check with me, and I am not available for your wedding, then I am afraid I will not be able to provide your wedding cake and will not be able to provide a refund for your deposit, or any payment made within four weeks before your original wedding date. 

To explain more about payments, as stated when you booked your wedding cake, the deposit is non-refundable and any full payment made within four weeks of your original wedding date is also non-fundable. 

Please understand that this is because I am running a small business and I will have already made arrangements for your wedding and incurred costs. 

If you do wish to re-schedule your wedding date, and I am available for your new date, your booking will simply be transferred to the new date. Please note however that your final payment is still due on the original invoice date (four weeks before your original date). 

Please understand that this is because I am offering you the chance to move your wedding date to a potential future date, that could be booked by a new customer. This is also to enable me to make sure my business runs smoothly and I can provide you with the best service possible. 

I am offering this service in order to minimise the stress caused by having to move a wedding date and to provide assurance that your perfect wedding cake will be in place when it is required.

This has been a long email but I hope that it has set out some reassurances to you and that as soon to-be-married clients of mine you are at the forefront of my thinking.
